Orb is a tablet-based game designed to teach 14-year-olds about the benefits and methods of positive psychology.
Commissioned by youth mental health organisation Reachout.com for use in high schools, Orb puts students in the shoes of a hero tasked with reversing the effects of an mysterious event known as The Glitch.
Students explore a fantasy world through tilt-based rolling levels, and interact with a cast of unique characters through entertaining multiple-choice conversation trees.
In order to reverse The Glitch, the students must complete quests for the for each of the characters they meet, with the solutions involving positive psychology concepts. A lesson plan involving further information about positive psychology was created to support the game.
